Our customer is a leading mortgage subservicing company in the U.S. - providing loan administration, servicing, and customer support solutions for banks, credit unions, and mortgage companies. It specializes in delivering end-to-end servicing with regulatory compliance and operational efficiency.

The customer’s existing integration and legacy architecture led to high operational costs, performance bottlenecks, unnecessary complexities, and made it inefficient for lightweight integrations.

 

Objective Summary

The customer’s existing MuleSoft APIs were leading to high operational costs and added complexity, making it inefficient for lightweight integration needs.  

The existing architecture used separate Service and Experience layers in MuleSoft for front-end and back-end communication, leading to increased complexity, redundant maintenance, and integration issues. 

Further, the legacy application built on Classic ASP and MVC posed performance, scalability, and maintenance challenges due to outdated architecture and limited support.

Automation was enabled across critical mortgage functions like Foreclosure, Escrow, Loss Mitigation, Loan Origination, Legal, and Business Reporting.

We migrated the MuleSoft APIs to Azure Logic Apps to leverage a serverless, cost-effective, and scalable platform for handling lightweight workflows and integrations. The architecture was simplified by eliminating the Service layer and enhancing the Experience layer to handle both front-end and back-end communications as well as streamlining development and support. We also helped with application migration to the NET Core, to enable modern development practices, cross-platform support, and improved system integration.

 

The customer achieved significant performance improvements, acceleration in deployment, and improved change request turnaround. They were also able to reduce integration maintenance efforts, accelerate development cycles, and develop a more effective API architecture.
